"I don't see why not collaborate with other artists" Mokambe talks about collaboration

Hi everyone,

First of all we want to apologies for delaying with the DEC interview from our gospel star boy MOKAMBE.. Our reason was due to the strike and we were actually not in the mood to do the this because of the happenings at that time. But then,we are here and we are taking Dec-Jan for our star boy.. Brace yourself because he has the most interesting interview for you all.

TG;what are some challenges you face as a gospel artist?

MOKAMBE; First of all as a gospel artist the media platform is still at its preliminary stages. It takes an extra push to break through. But nevertheless the people are responding better than expected. And also like any Cameroonian artist the limited support from our country people makes it harder than it should be

TG; You recently released your single "past life" what was your inspiration behind?

MOKAMBE; Past life comes as an inspiration to those people caught up in their negative past. Put it behind you and get going for a better tomorrow.

TG;what advice do you have for those who want to do gospel?

MOKAMBE; Get a message, get to the studio and let it loose. Don't let nothing stop you. Don't be discouraged. Don't expect it to be easy at the start. But it will eventually get better. As long as you stay in it. It's not a competition but a ministry. You only fail when you quit.

TG;Your genre of music, can you collaborate with other artist like Daphne,Stanley Enow,Longue Longue?(Fan question)

MOKAMBE; As long as the music remains strictly within Gospel guidelines, I don't see why not collaborate with other artists.

TG; which gospel artist do u see yourself collaborating with in the future?

MOKAMBE; Amongst gospel artists I do have a few collaboration in the pipeline but I look forward to take it even beyond the national boundaries.

TG;what are your ambitions as a gospel artist?

MOKAMBE; My ambitions are simple. Make people all over the world far beyond my Cameroon national boundaries get the chance to dance and praise God without limits. Also make gospel music very competitive in the music market. side by side all other genres of music

TG; Do you plan doing gospel concerts?

MOKAMBE; yes I do as time unfolds

TG;Thank you Mokambe for the brief but interesting interview and we are hoping to have you here

MOKAMBE; Oh its my pleasure and i am grateful to you Tiny Gossip...
